Naples Community of the Month: BEAR’S PAW

Bear’s Paw is a unique and luxurious golf-member only community secluded within 244 acres of prime land in the exclusive city of Naples, Florida.  By nature and design, Bear’sPaw offers not only spectacular beauty, but also the utmost in privacy and security.  The only access for residents and guests is the gatehouse at the front entrance where there’s a privacy officer on duty 24 hours a day.  Here you are away from it all, but at the same time within minutes of fabulous restaurants, pristine Gulf beaches, shop ‘til you drop opportunities and quality health care. 

 The community is a blend of condominiums, villas and single-family residences nestled among lakes and wooded areas with spectacular golf course vistas.  

 True to the original architectural concept, all native materials were selected for a meaningful merger with the surrounding cypress, towering pines and palmettos.  You are part of this all in a home that is private and unobstructed by other residences.   

 The clubhouse, with its formal dining room, a casual grill and two card rooms, is the hub of Bear’s Paw’s social events and dining. 

 Some members choose to rent their properties during Season.  The minimum rental period is one month.  Renters have full use of the club’s facilities, and have the option to purchase a monthly golf package [unlimited rounds for a couple] or paying for each round played. 

 Many of today’s members first experienced the advantages and warm and friendly atmosphere of Bear’s Paw and its convenient location in the heart of it all as renters. 

 Golf legend Jack Nicklaus designed Bear’s Paw, his first course on Florida’s west coast.  In February of 2005, Bear’s Paw celebrated its 25th Anniversary, an event providing lasting memories, much like the club and course for which the festivities were held.  More than the course, the gathering provided a salute to the many friendships formed there and the impact they have made.

In the construction of Bear’s Paw, much care was taken to protect the natural beauty that encompassed the land.  Much of the natural vegetation was preserved to fit with the street and building development plans. 

Currently, you may purchase a Bear’s Paw Membership for a cost of only $17,500.  You must be able to provide a signed contract indicating your established closing date on a Bear’s Paw property.  Each of the only 297 residences includes a golf cart, and there are no trail or locker fees to pay.

At the current time there are only 21 properties for sale in Bear’s Paw. This represents only 7% of the 297 homes in the development.  Here are three listings ranging from the most expensive to least expensive in the community:
